All city transport uses the same biglietto (ticket), which costs €1.50 and gives you 100 minutes during which you can transfer as often as you'd like (including one ride on metro. Roma Pass is another option, a transportation and museum card for tourists. It works a little differently than the Meterbus tickets, but you can use it on the Metro, ATAC buses, trams and specified commuter-train lines.
